Yuson Hawaiian Kenpo (Kajukenbo)

School History

Yuson Hawaiian Kenpo is a branch of the Kajukenbo System founded by Sijo Adriano Emperado. This branch teaches the Kajukenbo concept of the late Professor Jerry Yuson. Professor Yuson taught the old ways of training that were taught in the Palama Settlement days. He trained with Sijo Emperado and the late great Professor Sid Asuncion as well as several other well known Masters in Hawaii. Professor Yuson trained in Kendo and Aikido and as Kajukenbo is noted for, Professor Yuson took this training and taught it to his students. This developed a unique concept of the Kajukenbo style, with the hard old ways of training developed by Sijo Emperado, the devastating speed hitting style of Professor Asuncion and Professor Yuson’s own flowing style. Yuson Hawaiian Kenpo is dedicated to the Kajukenbo system and preserving the old ways.
